My journey began after 10 years experience in Education and Coaching children of all ages. I saw a dramatic decline in mental health, with individuals crying out to be seen or heard without the support they needed. Not only amongst the young but also the adults working alongside them - particularly during lockdown. It was then I wanted to retrain and learn how I could support those individuals lost amongst the crowds and my passion for counselling took off from there. I enrolled in my first course and haven’t stopped since. I am constantly continuing my development and qualifications so I can develop and grow as a person, to build connections and inspire awareness and empowerment within others.
I believe in the power of human to human connection.
As your counsellor I can support you by working collaboratively with you in a holistic way - looking in depth at the whole you.
I can support you by listening to you without judgement, offering a different perspective, as we journey through the ups and downs of your life together.
I have always integrated meditation and visualisations into my everyday life. Something of which has been therapeutically beneficial for my own self awareness and healing journey. It was meditation and becoming a mother that lead me to breathwork.
By working with me we can identify your breathing patterns which may have added to feeling discomfort, anxiety or depression. I have found Breathwork in collaboration with counselling to be very powerful. Rebalancing your dysregulated nervous system, alongside talk therapy can help you to develop your self awareness and expand your own personal toolkit.
I come from a line of reiki healers in my family. Growing up it was normal for me to have reiki healing on a day to day basis and have first hand experience of the positive benefits it can bring.
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapists. I work to their ethical framework to ensure that I work safely with you and you receive the best service possible.
What can I help with?
From time to time in life we may find ourselves lost, feel like we are going in the wrong direction or fallen off our life path.
Sometimes we experience emotional wounds that stem from our early years, a specific life event, when a relationship breaks down, we experience a loss or we find we are trying to navigate through life feeling invisible to others.
As human beings it is only natural for us to protect ourselves and the emotional pain we carry. In order to cope and navigate our daily tasks or challenges, we adopt strategies and coping mechanisms that we feel is best for us in order to get by.
Our strategies were initially really helpful in the short term, but as time has passed they have become ingrained habits that are vital for us to be able to function.
This can result in us feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, have low self-esteem, feeling lost among other things and lead us to seek support around these.
Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, it is a space for you to explore and embrace curiosity about these strategies and behaviours you have developed over time.
By providinga safe space for you to tap into and express your deepest aspects of yourself and feelings, Rebalance Yourself Therapies can help you to rediscover, reconnect and reaffirm who you truly are.

My Approach
I am trained in Person-Centred Counselling.
I believe you have a deep understanding of what is causing you pain and where you need to go. You are the expert within your own life. By working with me, without any pressure, you have the freedom to explore any aspect of your life that matters to you.
Each counselling session will be guided by you, as you are a one-of-a-kind, no one else has the same experience as you.
I will hold you in a therapeutic manner, offering warmth and unconditional acceptance, so you feel truly seen and heard with a desire to understand you completely.
